Daily we face decisions about so many things; at the core of every positive, uplifting choice we make is belief; otherwise we would accomplish nothing. So belief is foundational to any monumental or seemingly insignificant task. It should not come as a surprise that believing is essential to great accomplishments in our lives: that college education or the job at the factory or store. Step one, BELIEVE !
STEP 1: BELIEVE
Some people say just believe, that's it. But wisdom and information is also so important, so be informed. Hasty decisions are quite often bad ones.

Those who practice visualization say they pick a quiet relaxed time, maybe 5-15 minutes to sit still without distractions and see in their mind the creation of what they want to come about. They say when it feels right as if it is actually already present that this is the time when things may begin to fall into place. Think of it like hitting a baseball: it may take a moment to get to the plate or maybe years; but if you hit it 3 out of 10 times you will be a star! So put doubt aside and visualize.
Calming one's mind: In order to meditate on what it is you see as happening you need to figure out ways to calm your mind; getting free of distractions may be difficult but is well worth the practice. Putting aside one's devices (phone, computer, TV) or anything that can interrupt you is the number one task to accomplish a calm meditative state.
What posture is required to visualize or meditate? Answer: it really doesn't matter - you can take a walk, sit cross legged, sit in a comfortable chair - just about any posture is OK; even laying in bed. We use many different postures, any of which may help us relax and see in our mind what it is we want to have occur.
